Weekly Book Sales Hours

book donationThe weekly book sale is a fund raising effort staffed by our Friends Volunteers. There is always something new, thanks to weekly donations by area residents. Pick up a good book for yourself or as a gift. All proceeds, from the book sale, support Eastchester Public Library.

There is a wide variety of books available, including novels, children, teens, sports, art, cooking, romance, travel and biographies, etc.; DVDs and CDs are also available. There are a few items deemed extra special visit our online site.

Tuesdays               12pm-3pm
Friday                 12pm-3pm

Check out our daily cart always well stocked with Mysteries, Thrillers and Fiction! Cart is located outside the front door of the Circulation desk. Payment is made to Circulation desk

Friends of the Library Book Donation Guidlines

We appreciate you thinking of the Eastchester Public Library when you downsize your living space, move away, or simply wish to reduce your collection of books, movies and music.

The Friends welcome donation to their Book Sale Room of newly published materials and items in good-to-excellent condition including:

Fiction and Nonfiction Books

Children’s and Young Adult Books

Books on CD

DVD’s & Blu-ray Discs

Music CD’s

Due to a lack of storage space, the Friends cannot accept the following items:

VHS Tapes

Magazines

Text Books

Test Preparation Books & Study Guides published prior to 2013

Travel Guides published prior to 2013

Computer Books published prior to 2013

Medical or Financial Books published prior to 2013

Price Guides and Almanacs published prior to 2016

Old Software

Encyclopedias

Academic or Professional Journals

The Friends provide a receipt for donations brought to the library during Book Sale Room hours on Tuesdays. & Fridays from 12-3.  When the book sale room is closed, donations may be placed in the library book drop closest to the door of the library.  Please do not deposit items in book drops designated for library materials. Donated materials left outside the building when the library is closed will be discarded or recycled.
