EPL Presents Book Art Competition

The Eastchester Public Library Book Art Competition is an annual competition for artists to upcycle and breathe new life into old and obsolete books by turning them into works of art. This year's theme is hangable wall art! Registration is now open, and the last day to submit art is September 27th, 2024. Sign up here.

  • Open to all ages.
  • Sign up and receive a 11x14 canvas to use for your piece.
  • You may paint, cut, glue, or alter the books in any way you want.
  • We will provide recycled books for you to use. Please ask!
  • Completed art pieces will be on display in the New Books area.

2024 Submission Rules

  • Competition is open to everyone
  • There are three categories: kids, teens, and adults
  • You may paint, cut, glue, or manipulate the physical books in any way you want.
  • Your completed piece will be displayed on the wall.
  • Your artwork must be on a 11x14 canvas.

How to Vote for Your Favorite Pieces

  • Come view the submitted art pieces in the New Books area from September 30th to October 10th.
  • Submit a vote for your favorite pieces in their category
  • Each person can only vote once 
  • Invite your friends and family to come view and vote as well!
