Open an Eastchester Public Library Card

Your Eastchester Public Library card is issued for three years from the date of registration, and is honored at all member libraries of the Westchester Library System. Two forms of ID, one with your name and current address, are required the first time you register and each time you renew your card.

You can also apply for a temporary card online using this form and come in later to complete the process. A temporary card is valid for one month. It allows you to borrow three physical items and have access to Eastchester Public Library and Westchester Library System's e-resources.

Limit of 75 items per library card.

Limit of 10 DVDs and/or Blu-Rays per card, 1 Express DVD / Blu-Rays per family and 20 music CD’s. There is no limit on Adult books. Children’s books may be limited due to school assignments. Check with the Children’s Librarian for more information.

Due date slips are printed out for your convenience at the check-out desk. (Email receipts available upon request.) Be sure to check carefully for the due dates. If you are unsure when an item is due back to the library, call for assistance.

Books may be borrowed for you (placed on hold) from other Westchester Library System member libraries, not including Express items or magazines. For an Adult or Young Adult item, ask at the Adult Services Desk for more information; for a Children's item, ask at the Children's Services Desk. We can also obtain books from outside of Westchester Library System using our Interlibrary Loan service. 

Please note, renewals are only permitted if an item does not have open holds.
